Details: Oregon Contemporary presents the captivating futuristic drama Marjorie Prime, written by Jordan Harrison and directed by Willow Norton. From one of the country’s most adventurous young writers (Maple and Vine, Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black) comes the tender and provocative story of Marjorie Prime. Set further into the oncoming age of artificial intelligence, Marjorie Prime follows 85-year-old Marjorie and her handsome new companion, who has been programmed to help her recount the distant, fading memories of her life. What would we remember, and what would we forget, if given the choice? In this new play, Harrison explores what it means to be human in the digital age. Talk-back following the performance on Sunday, Nov. 19.
