Mermaids: Ecocritical and Feminist Perspectives

When: 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28
Where: Downtown Eugene Public Library, 10th & Olive streets
Details: Dorothee Ostmeier and Ethan Wyman of the University of Oregon lead a theoretical and illustrated tour of the mermaid figure from antiquity (Homer, Ovid) to contemporary popular culture (Splash, Ponyo, The Lure).
